(CN) – A Wal-Mart cashier and manager tore up two $ 100 bills and held a customer for hours until police came and told the store the cash was legitimate, the furious customer claims in court.

DICKINSON, N.D. (AP) — A concussion kept Jamie Kuntz from suiting up for his first college football game. A kiss from his much-older boyfriend at that game led the freshman linebacker to be kicked off the team, he said.
3. Police Chief Writes Himself Ticket
It’s not usually news when a police officer writes a ticket — unless it’s the chief and he gives the ticket to himself.
Village of Kewaskum Police Chief Richard Knoebel said he was driving to work when he became distracted by a truck stopping on one side of the street.
He said he didn’t see a school bus with its lights flashing and a stop sign out on the other side of the four-lane road.
4. Larry Flynt Offers $ 1M Reward for Mitt Romney Tax Returns
It’s no secret that Larry Flynt, the often-controversial founder and publisher of Hustler magazine, is not a fan of Mitt Romney. (Maybe that’s because the Republican nominee has said that he supports federal obscenity laws—which aren’t exactly good for Flynt’s business.) It’s also no secret that Romney opponents have been dying to get their hands on his unreleased tax returns, which, they claim, could prove that the candidate hasn’t been paying his fair share of taxes. Now, Flynt is joining their cause by offering a $ 1 million reward for Romney’s tax information.
5. Embassy Worker Owes $ 3.3 Million to Escaped Sex Slave
(CN) – A Virginia federal judge awarded $ 3.3 million to a Yemeni woman who was enslaved by a State Department employee and repeatedly raped by that worker’s husband.
The 12-page decision does not name the woman who was kept in involuntary servitude for three months in 2009.
Linda and Russell Howard lured her to Tokyo in December 2008 with promises that she would earn $ 200 a month cleaning their home in the U.S. Embassy compound.
The Howards allegedly said they would quickly raise her salary to $ 300 a month, give her a day off every week, and a safe place to live at the Embassy compound.
Instead, Jane Doe says she was repeatedly raped and forced to work more than 80 hours per week, earning $ 0.88 per hour.
6. Men arrested hiding loris in underwear at Delhi airport
Two of the men were found with slender lorises concealed in pouches in their briefs, a customs official at Indira Gandhi International Airport told the BBC.
The men were transit passengers, en route to Dubai from Bangkok.
The animals were uncovered when security guards noticed a bulge in their underwear during a frisk.
7. Schoolgirl kept in ‘isolation’ after dying hair red
A furious mum has claimed her teenage daughter was placed in “isolation” by teachers on her first day back at school – after turning up with bright-red hair.
Paula Close’s eldest child, 15-year-old Shannon, dyed her hair a vibrant shade of red during her summer holidays.
But teachers separated GCSE pupil Shannon from her classmates at Bryn Hafren Comprehensive School, Barry, because her red locks were not in line with school uniform policy.

9. NY police accidentally shoot shop worker to death
NEW YORK (AP) — A police officer shot and killed a convenience store worker who plowed into him on a sidewalk while frantically fleeing an armed robbery early Friday, a sudden encounter that thepolice department called a tragic accident.
Three men taken into custody at the shop after the shooting were charged with murder, robbery and weapons possession, prosecutors said.
10. 13-year-old girl steals brother’s car and drives 800 miles to meet 12-year-old boy she met on Xbox; gets pulled over eventually; parents decide to take her to boy’s home…but can’t find it
CYPRESS, Texas – A 13-year-old lovestruck girl who stole a car and headed to Kentucky to meet her 12-year-old boyfriend almost got her wish.
Beth Robinson made it all the way to Nashville, Tennessee before an alert trooper pulled her over and ended her adventure.
“I can’t wait to see her and hug her and know she was home,” Mom Tressa Robinson said.
Beth was bound and determined to see Dylan, the boy she met while playing Xbox online.
