Remember when all of us were younger that we enjoyed a great time putting on those Costumes for halloween we made or our moms and dads had bought or hired for us? To avoid their bodies from being possessed, Celts would ignite bonfires and dress up in all sorts of morbid halloween costumes in order to scare the ghosts of the dead from getting into their bodies.
Yet, the practice of being dressed in halloween outfits in the USA can be traced to only as current as the 1900s. It was only in the 1930s that Costumes for halloween began to be made in huge amounts. The usual halloween costumes that we all hire or create are those of various monsters including but not restricted to vampires, spirits, ghouls, devils, witches, and skeletons.

Even if it is the night that evil should arise, “good” costumes are also a typical pick among adults and children alike. In fact, princess, fairy and angel halloween costumes often times reach the top 10 list of top Halloween outfits.
Also successful are popular culture outfits which mimick famous celebrities, ” sci fi “-ish personas, and even political figures present an equal share in exposures throughout The halloween season. A lot of women, as a result of commercial advertising, have likewise found this a good time to wear alluring outfits to show off their bodies and sexual power. But that is another story.

Some other costumes that seem to enjoy a fan base are clowns, nurses, cats, and the Halloween icon, the pumpkin. On the other hand, who are we to keep traditions from adapting to the modern times? Things will always evolve, that is just how things naturally work. We can’t purely insist on being dressed in solely spooky stuff during Halloween. Imagination will play a role in this aspect and people will always long for something totally new.
